During the weekend of May 12-14th, the Voxie Tactics server had instability that impacted the ability to play with your rented Voxies/Items. While this instability was out of our hands we recognize the impact it had on our players especially those who rented items with an upfront fee during that time. We've completed our analysis and refunded the portion of the upfront VOXEL fee that was impacted during that weekend. The exact percentage of the refund is determined by the start and end time of the rental and how much of that time was during May 12-14th.

All players that were impacted have had their VOXEL refunded as of this posting, no additional work is needed on your end and no claim process is needed as we have identified all players impacted. If you didn't receive a refund that means you didn't have an active rental with an upfront fee during the server outage. This was a one-off refund and we will approach any future outage/instability on a case by case basis.

**THE BINANCE ACADEMY PARTNERSHIP
------------------------**

The Marketing team has been working closely with The Binance Academy team on a new Learn & Earn campaign set to launch on May 25th.

Anyone who participates in The Binance Academy Learn and Earn program is awarded VOXEL which will help continue to grow our tokens footprint.

As part of this project, considerable marketing effort has been put into developing new creative and educational style content around our VOXEL token.

We will be launching a new article, video and an academy quiz as part of the co-marketing. Binance will amplify across all their marketing channels and we will be doing the same with ours including a revamp of our VOXEL landing page on our website with all the great new content!

I can’t wait to see this go live!

Last but certainly not least, I’m pleased to say that we're adding 3 new members to our team this month and here are the roles!

**Senior QA Analyst**

I’ll start things off with the new Senior QA Analyst who has already joined us. This is a crucial role as we continue to work towards providing a more seamless and immersive experience for you. They will lead the testing of our Unity game version by implementing automation and improving our internal processes as we work towards releasing the next phase of Voxie Tactics.

**Senior Frontend Developer**

We’re also expanding the developer team with a new Senior Frontend Developer. They will be joining an already amazing core group and will play a key role in expanding our web offering. Our new Senior Frontend Developer will lead the charge in building new features for our platform, helping us to deliver on our commitment to provide the best user experience and highest quality frontend solutions. They will also help us speed up the release of features that we have promised to build, ensuring that our platform remains cutting-edge and ahead of the curve.

**Game Economy Manager**

Finally, a new Game Economy Manager will join us and bring with them extensive experience in designing and delivering games across platforms. With their expertise, we know we can bring our Voxies economy to an even higher level. The Game Economy Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the Voxies economy is competitive within the industry. They will also lead the design, maintenance, and development of the reward system, incentives, and progressions in Voxie Tactics and work closely with our development team to ensure that the game's economy is optimized for the best possible user experience.

** DRAGONFEST
------------------------**

Next I’d like to take a moment to recap Dragonfest. First off, it's worth acknowledging that this event was a monumental undertaking from the entire team and I would like to personally recognize the team's hard work and dedication. Secondly, this event was an opportunity for us to explore various aspects of Voxies Tactics and the wider Voxies ecosystem. As with any new endeavor, some things were positive, while other aspects require critical assessment. The important thing is that the team is constantly learning and growing as a result.

**LORE & CINEMATIC TRAILER**

The introduction of The Necromancer and the Bone Dragon Boss brought new lore and story elements to Voxie Tactics that were well received by the community and players. The intro cinematic trailer for Dragonfest had the "wow factor" we were aiming for.

**WHAT WE LEARNED**

Overall, the mechanics of the Bone Dragon Boss map were successful in achieving their goal. However, there are still areas that need additional cheat protection to prevent bad actors from abusing our game. We are continuing to work on this and improve the related tech and services.

We expanded the economy mechanics in Dragonfest, introducing virtual Bone Fragments and Bone Chest conversions, and building on the holiday gift box concept from The Winterverse. However, it became apparent that some players were not pleased with this larger economy and item shake-up. In hindsight, we should have toned down this aspect or focused the reward structure for this event. We appreciate all the feedback we received regarding this economy and item topic.

During the event, the accumulation of player rewards and the leaderboards were hot topics. While we applied many improvements we learned from the Season 0 tournament to fix technical leaderboard issues, we failed to account for the determination and "farming" aspect of certain play styles. This highlighted opportunities that we want to explore prior to the next PvE event like potentially introducing a daily limit or additional safeguards around the cumulative damage leaderboard. Overall, this was a good way for us to gather valuable data that we will use to improve Voxie Tactics before releasing Adventure mode!

**GAME & MARKETPLACE STATS**

Despite the ups and downs, I’m proud to present some of the statistics and figures achieved during the event. It's safe to say that the player base is amazing and dedicated, and events like this are highly participated in. Special call out that all top 10 players did over 10 million damage to the Bone Dragon on their own, wow!

I’m thrilled to connect with you all once again and share a few exciting new updates from AlwaysGeeky Games. Each month, I value this opportunity to communicate with you personally and provide a behind-the-scenes look at our progress.

Reflecting on our journey so far, I’m appreciative of the support and enthusiasm you have shown us. Your feedback and engagement have been invaluable in shaping our vision for the future of Voxies and I can't wait to see where this journey takes us next!

Today in this letter, I want to share some of the developments and milestones we've achieved from our Roadmap and most recently related to Dragonfest and PvE.

I would also like to officially announce that we're launching a larger marketing partnership with Binance Academy on May 25th.

And finally, take this opportunity to highlight several new team updates as we continue to build and grow.

**ROADMAP & SCHEDULE

We have been completing some exciting new projects since the last time I wrote. Projects like the Sandbox NFT avatar launch and the addition of Infusion to our marketplace. We have also been making progress on projects like the marketplace UI revamp and our game optimization with Unity.

■ Infusion added to marketplace: This feature is now completed and will be even more impressive when we roll out our upcoming marketplace overhaul.
■ Sandbox NFT Avatars: Our team has been hard at work creating new Avatars and we're pleased that this project is now close to completion. Keep an eye out for our latest designs!

**IN PROGRESS**

■ Marketplace UI Revamp: Our team has been busy designing the marketplace UI and making it more user-friendly. This project is well underway.
■ Game Optimization: We're making good progress on the Unity version of Voxie Tactics and we can’t wait to share some sneak peaks in the coming months.
■ ELO & Rental Changes: We're planning on implementing these changes within the next 1-2 months, and we'll keep you updated as we make progress.
■ New Battle Pass & Map: We're excited to announce that we have new maps in the works, and we may even bring back some favourites from Dragonfest. Stay tuned for more details!

The Bone Dragon Boss has been vanquished and the Voxiverse is forever in your debt for stopping this fearsome adversary.

As part of the event celebrations the following activities will be taking place:

■ All participants will receive virtual Bone Wing cosmetic items, with the winners of the leaderboards getting progressively more powerful and rarer Bone Wings.
    ■ All the way up to Legendary and Special Tier that allows any equipped Voxie the power to fly (similar to Hawknights).

■ We will be celebrating this awesome community feat with a DOUBLE VOXEL reward bonus applied to all PvP matches during the dates of May 20th through to May 27th.

■ The leaderboards and honour trophy will be present in the client build and adventure mode for all future players to see and remember this momentous feat.

■ The web services that allow for the Bone Fragments conversion to Chests will remain active for 45 days.

■ The Forge features that allows Bone Chests to be opened will remain active for 45 days.

■ We will be adding some Bone Dragon map variants to the PVP rotation, so be prepared to battle it out on the new magma/lava maps.

**Dragonfest End Date**

Hi Again @everyone 

We’ve heard all of your feedback on the proposed end date change for Dragonfest. After discussing as a team we will close/lock the leaderboards as originally planned on **May 1st** at **1pm EST**.

The Dragonfest arena will remain open through **May 8th** for those that wish to continue to battle the Dragon and earn bones and mint chests. These battles will not count toward the leaderboards as those will lock May 1st.

We at AlwaysGeeky really appreciate and value everyone’s feedback so please keep that coming. Together we will build the best Voxiverse possible.

**Dragonfest End Date**

Hi @everyone, 

Dragonfest is back in full effect with the chests minting as of Monday!

Dragonfest was originally scheduled to end May 1st, however given the minting of chests were paused for 10 days we are extending the event one week and will now end on **May 8th**. We want to ensure everyone had ample time to participate and earn bones and chests in a fair environment.

All game data is continuously being analyzed internally leveraging a 3rd party solution to ensure all cheaters are banned and removed prior to minting chests. At the conclusion of Dragonfest we will review all data once more to ensure all leaderboards are accurate and only fair participants are rewarded. This will take some time with our goal to distribute the leaderboard rewards by the end of May.

**Dragonfest Chest Minting Update**

Hi @everyone,

Thank you all for your patience as we analyzed all data from Dragonfest. We have completed a full review and have banned all accounts that were found to be cheating. This also removes any chest that were in queue to mint as of today. With this completed we are turning the minting back on for Dragonfest Chests today. Going forward we will continue to analyze all available data and follow our plan to have scheduled  chest mints allowing us to ban accounts prior to minting their chests.

The Dragonfest event leaderboards will be updated including the removal of all banned users. This will be coming soon and we will update everyone once completed. Additionally, we will continue to monitor all accounts and once the event has ended we will ensure that all accounts participated fairly.

We are taking steps to detect, prevent, and disqualify any users who engage in cheating or exploiting Dragonfest in any way. We will closely monitor the situation and take necessary action. The Voxel cost of opening a chest has been shifted to the minting process, meaning it will now be paid during the minting of the chest. We are pausing the minting of any chests currently while we review each account and identify which chests not to mint.

When purchasing Bone Chests, it may take a short time after for the actual processing for bone fragments to show deducted from your balance. As long as you have the transaction hash in the process and enough Bone Fragments, you will be sent the purchased chest.

If you attempt to purchase additional chests while the transaction is completing, and do not have the proper number bone fragments to purchase additional chests, your transaction may process, but you will not receive a chest, due to not having the  balance for Bone Fragments.

**Dragonfest Update!

During the last few days and since the launch of the Dragonfest PVE event the reception has been overwhelmingly positive and there has been an insanely high volume of activity and players (over 200,000 boss battles so far?) Due to this increase in players and boss battles, this has had a small impact on the Bone Fragment economy and Bone Chest mechanics. Therefore we have had to revisit the costs associated with the Bone Fragments and Bone Chest conversions to tweak the economical impacts. With that in mind the new costs for the Bone Fragments conversations are the following:

* Small chest - 10 VOXELS to convert *(1 VOXEL to Open in forge)*
* Medium cheat - 20 VOXELS to convert
* Large chest - 30 VOXELS to convert

Hey @everyone , **Dragonfest** is just around the corner! As we’re pulling everything together for you we thought that we would take this moment to let everyone know about the upcoming class changes and updates to the NFT meta-data that will coincide with our Dragonfest launch! As a team, we wanted to share this data change information early to get everyone prepared.

As mentioned in the various Dragonfest announcements and articles, two pivotal changes will be happening during Dragonfest, firstly all Dragons will transform into the new **Drako Class**; and secondly all remaining monsters, Skeletons and Zombies will turn into the **Undead Class**.

Since there are a few exceptional cases in our NFT collection and a few unique meta-data situations, we wanted to share the exact rules for the change, so please see the following for your reference:


**All Voxies that are Dragon Race that are Monsters will now become the new Drako class**
■ This includes the Black Dragon Godly that will also change to the Drako class.
■ Exceptions include any Dragons that were Hawknights - they will remain as Hawknight class - Voxies 1624, 5495, 6348, 6558, 6730, 8806, 8891.
■ Voxie #3715 that is the Dragon Race but a Pirate will remain as a Pirate - the lone Dragon Pirate - yarrrrr


**All Skeletons and Zombie that are monsters will become the Undead class**
■ Skeletons that are Hawknights will remain as Hawknights - Voxies 1600, 3716, 4073, 4540, 5641, 8053, 8097, 8321, 9031.
■ Zombies that are Hawknights will remain as Hawknights - Voxies 395, 1209, 2043, 2102, 2255, 4064, 4728, 5036, 5078, 5191, 6478, 6671, 6920, 7019, 8316, 8492, 8879, 9493, 9715.
■ The godly Mummy Voxie will become Undead.
■ The special Voxies #7 and #8 will become Undead.
■ The Doge Monster #144 will become Undead.
■ The Human Monster #1420 will become Undead.
■ The Godly Alien Monster #9323 will become a Time Mage.

After hot fixing the issue with free movement in battle, we have also been debugging and working on fixing the crash that happens occasionally related to AI takeover in matches.

Also we are hearing and taking all your feedback related to balance and various class changes - please continue to provide this feedback as it is all valuable (in a constructive way).

Don't worry we will put out further rapid hotfixes and further refinements of this patch to fix these early issues and iron out any other major problems.

**■ Voxie Tactics**

Alright, this is a big one for us! I’m thrilled to announce that we're working on a brand new version of Voxie Tactics that will use the Unity Game Engine. After launching Voxie Tactics over a year ago, we quickly realized that we had a huge opportunity to better support the next generation of Web3 gamers. To achieve our vision, it became clear that leveraging a modern game engine like Unity was critical to the future success of Voxie Tactics.

For the past 8 months, we have been hard at work on rebuilding Voxie Tactics from the ground up to leverage everything that Unity has to offer. Once this new version of Voxie Tactics is released later this year, you can expect major improvements in all key areas including better graphics, better performance, faster development time and additional platform support over a short period of time.

Here’s an overview of major advantages Unity offers:

• Support for all major computer platforms - PC, Mac, Linux
• Support for mobile platforms - iOS & Android
• Integrations with popular gaming platforms
• Native support for a wide variety of third party SDKs (ie Metamask native support)
• Improved graphics and performance
• Faster development of new features (Class abilities, new game mechanics, etc)
• Faster development of new content (ie PVE, special event, etc)
• Dynamic deployment allowing faster improvements to game balance

This represents a massive undertaking from the Game Development team and we are extremely excited with the amazing new experiences this future release will provide to our players. **■ DRAGONFEST**

Dragonfest is upon us! We know how excited you all are for this event, and we're happy to announce that we've finalized the dates. Mark your calendars because Dragonfest will run from **April 3rd to May 1st**! During this time, you'll be able to participate in a Community PVE raid boss event, collect bone fragments, earn bone chests, even score some Dragonfest rewards and use the brand new Drako class for the first time. We've also got some exciting Voxies Marketplace events lined up for you.

We've got marketing being designed with the intent of getting you all ready to unleash your inner Dragon!

Our team is fired up and ready to bring you an unforgettable visual experience. We've got some exciting marketing tactics planned to make sure everyone knows about our new Dragonfest event. Moving on to our VOXEL token update - it's been an amazing start to the year for us! We've made some great progress, including adding utilities, extending official partnerships, and even getting listed on Coinbase. We've also got some exciting partnerships lined up with QuickSwap rewards and token farming, as well as Binance Learn & Stake. Keep an eye out for further updates on this front!

Hi @everyone,

As some of you noticed there is currently and issue affecting the Voxie Tactics renting system. After investigating, we have identified the issue with an external system that we rely on to pull the renting information from the blockchain. Because we are dependent of this external system, we cannot provide an estimated time. That said, we will continue to monitor the situation until this is resolved. 

It’s important to note that all assets are safe and will be available as soon as the issue with the external service is resolved.
