We’ve got some big platform updates to share with the community. As we make way for the new platform, the Nifty’s website will phase out on 5.22.23. Here’s what you need to know beforehand:

**Participate In Activities.**
As a result of our transition, our current activities on Niftys.com will no longer be accessible, so anyone who wishes to participate in the following activities should do so before May 22:
Matrix - Red/Blue Pill challenge
Game of Thrones - Hero Pack opening + The Forge
Bullet Train - Briefcase opening
We do anticipate bringing some or all of these activities back with the new platform, but we can’t guarantee timing.

**Export Your Private Keys. 🔑**
While you’ll still be able to access your assets at either https://wallet.niftys.com/ or https://reveal.magic.link/niftys, we understand you may want even more control over your assets. Below are some helpful links.

The new Nifty’s platform hosts all media in decentralized storage. In that spirit, we will move all media for existing Nifty’s projects to decentralized storage as well. We anticipate this shift to happen over time and be completed by May 22nd.

As discussed in our Monday announcement, our new day for our weekly updates will now be switching to Friday! We discussed a few updates this week but wanted to go ahead and update you all on a few internal shifts that occurred within the last couple days. 

As Nifty’s expands and continues to introduce new programs, so do the needs and expectations of both the community and our partners. We actively listen to your suggestions and have started the process of shifting internal resources at Nifty’s to better deliver on our programs and future activations. These changes will improve our UX and our ability to create gamification and interactivity at scale. We can’t wait to share with you what we are working on, but we ask for a little more patience as we complete this transition. In the meantime, here is what you can expect from Nifty’s.

For the last two weeks Nifty’s staff have really dialed into the community and made sure that we listened to everyone’s voice across our different programs. 

Last week our community moderators and myself met briefly to go over the wants and needs of you all and have shifted focus on delivering new and exciting community experiences across the board. Because of this, a few things will be put on pause to make sure we deliver on these items. Without spilling the beans too much, here is what to expect.

*Q. *Why can’t we burn the Hero Boxes after opening?
*A.* This was an intentional decision in order to have a “pack” opening mechanic on Ethereum without users having to pay for a gas transaction. Otherwise users would have had to top up with ETH for gas after already having purchased their Hero Packs via credit card.

*Q. *What is the status of refunds?
*A. *There are a total of 8 outstanding refunds. All of which the team is working directly on to complete. Other than that, all refunds have been processed. If you are still waiting on a refund or believe you should have been given one please submit a ticket and our team will look into your account/purchase further.

*Q.* Is there a deadline to open your box?
*A.* No. You can open at any time.

As most of you know, we've been experiencing issues with streak updating during Simulation 2. Since this issue arose over the holiday break, we were unable to address it quickly enough to provide time for folks to achieve a Streak 3 and collect a Simulation 2 Reward NFT.

We will have this addressed before Simulation 3 begins, but in the meantime, we are changing the threshold for those Streak 3 rewards so that anyone with any streak will now be eligible. That means that if you check in your avatars between now and the end of Simulation 2 (January 17), you will receive those rewards (one per avatar).

We're sorry for the frustration this has caused and we'll have it addressed prior to simulation 3!

Q - Where do I go to see my NFT once Purchased?

Answer: Once your Hero Box has been minted you can go to the Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm drop down in the Nifty’s navigation and -> Member, or to your profile.

Q - Why isn’t my purchase showing up in my wallet?

Answer: It can take up to 24 hours for your NFT to appear. We are actively working on getting these updated must faster. This is to preserve a minimal gas fee to our users.

**Build Streaks, Earn Artifacts**
During each simulation period, Blue-Pill and Red-Pill Avatar holders will have the opportunity to collect increasingly higher-value artifact NFTs. These artifact NFTs can be burned for XP to upgrade an avatar in the future. Each day they check in, avatar holders will earn a new artifact NFT specific to a Red-Pill or Blue-Pill Avatar. By achieving a Level 3 Streak, avatars will impress their boss or dojo master by earning a Reward NFT. Reward NFTs will provide access to a Discord Community Challenge. Streaks reset at the end of the “Simulation,” and avatar holders will have an opportunity to achieve new streak levels with each new simulation period.
