🎄 **NEW YEAR PROCLAMATION**🎄 

Hi Lokals family, @everyone! It's been a crazy year, to say the least! Terra Luna started it all, but we had no idea how deep the rabbit hole went as we watched one crypto giant fall after another, chrescendoing in the collapse of FTX! This winter is deep!
But not only crypto, the stock market has not been spared by 2022! War in Ukraine, supply chain issues and money printing that resulted in FED tightening rates pushed the global markets in a downward spiral, with tech stocks leading the way.

BUT many will say this presents a golden opportunity for accumulation. Someone once said- bulls will make you money, but bears will make you rich!

Lokals are not immune to current markets, unfortunately. Yes, our funding is not entirely crypto-dependent, but the current financial crisis is global and across board, hitting the art financing sector just as hard. That is not to say we are not making progress and moving forward! We are in talks with some of the biggest animation production houses, tweaking the script and plowing forward! 
But it will take time, longer than usual, no going around that. In the months to come we will be working on financing the short film! Parallel to this you can expect to see first animation shots from the film also hitting the socials and discord in the first half of 2023! 
We can't predict the future and give dates but we can tell you that we are more committed than ever to this project and we are not going anywhere!

I would say in the crypto winter time is the only commodity we have! All the great projects use this period to quietly build, improve and push forward!

DISCORD- Yes, Discord is mostly quiet. It's not a day to day community hub for hanging out and discussing with your fellow Lokals holders! Not currently, at least. BUT stay with us! We use Discord as the main place for progress reports and news! Main hub for communication on everything Lokals related! And also a place where you can ask us questions and have a direct line of communication with The Lokals team!

In the end, we want to wish you the very best in 2023! Let us use the opportunities that it brings wisely, let us grow and evolve, build on the foundation of love and respect for all!

Animafest established in 1972, is the second oldest film festival in the world completely dedicated to animation. Animafest Zagreb always has been, alongside festivals in Annecy, Ottawa and Hiroshima, a part of the obligatory circuit in the animation community’s calendar. As most of you already know, **ALL** of the Lokals NFTs will have on and off screen roles in the animated film by Prime Render studios and Bozo Balov and **ALL** the holders will get credits as co-producers! As we like to say: you don't have an IMDB page? Now you do!

Also, as the Lokals have generated names by default, we wanted to give you the possibility to **name your Lokal** anyway you like! Well, almost anyway. There **will be** a simple condition to rename your Lokal though. More about that as we move on.

There are 5 types of Lokals: Townies, Workers, Athletes, Beach Boys and Artists. 

The type of the Lokal will depend on the assets the Lokal gets when generated, with their rarity depending on the very assets they have.
