**MB1.2 - Introducing Living PFPs: Choose Your Meebit's Mood**

Happy 2nd birthday @everyone! 

Meebits are the OG avatars of the Metaverse. And now, your avatar comes to life in a new way as it becomes a Living PFP. 

Unlike static profile pictures, Living PFPs allow you to customize your NFT without affecting its metadata. 

MB1.2 is the first expression of Living PFPs, a collection of Moods for your Meebit. 

To get started, go to https://turnon.meebits.app to try on different Moods. (Delegation with Warm.xyz and Delegate.Cash is coming soon.)

Click SAVE THIS MOOD to have it reflected on HTML-enabled marketplaces like OpenSea and Rarible. 

Check out our glow-up! The new render style from MB1.1 has gone full-body. Marketplace thumbnails will update to these renders – but the original image is still part of the metadata. 

The token metadata has also been updated to include a variety of representations of the Meebit artwork, including rigged VRMs and pixel sprite sheets created by the MeebitsDAO. It’s never been easier for Meebits to be integrated into virtual worlds and games.

We launched MB1 with a digital boombox that featured nine original AI-powered songs created by our friends at WarpSound. Today, we’re releasing the complete “Meebits Turn On” album – including 13 new songs – on major music streaming platforms and as a free to claim (plus gas) WarpSound MUSIC DROPS digital collectible for Meebit holders. 

Meebs have until the end of the year to claim a WarpSound Music Drops digital collectible of the “Meebits Turn On” album. This ERC-1155 NFT will render as a PLAYABLE ALBUM on platforms that support HTML-based NFTs (such as OpenSea). This NFT is only claimable by wallets that held 1 or more Meebits when the snapshot was taken on December 20th at 9:16 AM PST. The claim period ends on December 31, 2022 @ 11:59 PM PST. 

The security team at Yuga Labs has reviewed the Manifold Creator Contract, 0xeacf3bc37a3bf1c1166a0d9a4df3f1679c26b52e, used by the team at WarpSound for their Music Drops. However, if you prefer not to connect the wallet containing your Meebit(s) to the minting site, we encourage you to set up a “warm wallet” with Warm.xyz. We will be taking a snapshot of warm wallets that tie back to the Meebits contract on Friday, December 23, 2022 @ 9:00am PST and airdrop the digital collectible to those wallets by the end of the claim period.

In addition to being able to stream this album on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, you are free to use these songs in any creative projects. All tracks have a Creative Commons Attribution license and are free to use, redistribute or remix, even commercially, provided that you give appropriate credit to Meebits and WarpSound. Today is a very special day. Exactly 5 years ago, June 9th 2017, I sat down to claim 350 Cryptopunks. I was mesmerized by @larvalabs visionary ideas and their astonishing digital concept that opened new thought-worlds for me and our whole space. An experiment to change it all. 🧵 

Larva Labs made a NFT collection (meebits) using the metaverse as marketing, bagged 70M, made them unusable as metaverse avatars / game dev for half a year until community pestered them about rigging (you're welcome), then disappeared quietly in the night after selling to yuga 🫤
