Hi @everyone ,

Given we’ve been quiet in the run up to launching new roadmap items, I want to give a quick progress report on behind the scenes. Internally we’re seeing this move into the next stage of brand as a refresh button to align with what you as the community are wanting in the short term. We’re excited to get the momentum and energy going again. 

🦎  **Hiring:** We have been hiring a lot over the past couple of weeks to service the web3 roadmap items. We’ve added another 12 people working part or full time in areas such as creative development to product gamification. 

🦎  **Content production:** Once the new roadmap items begin we’ll hit a good cadence of social/ discord posts. Content production for our content calendar is in full swing. With finished pieces ready to go live. 

🦎  **Holder experience:** the next roadmap item is a gamified holder experience leading up to a claim of something exciting. Final development is happening in engineering and design, ready to launch. 

🦎  **Art development:** New characters are coming. The team is working hard and making what is objectively the best art in the market (you’ll get what I mean when you see it). We are also developing a new site and identity for it. It’s looking awesome. 

🦎  **IDs:** As mentioned in a previous spaces, given we have had extra time to work on IDs, we have made a lot of progress on them. Namely, creating their own brand identity, roadmap and utility separate from the Creepz. Which will both boost their value but also reduce any risk of diluting Creepz. We’ve built something very unique for them and we think it will add a lot of value to the Creepz ecosystem. 

🦎  **Mainstream verticals:** as mentioned in the hat eating video, fashion has been in development for some time now and we’re planning to unveil/ launch the collection including the collaboration involved. Details and campaign are being ironed out amongst stakeholders. 

🦎  **Token:** We’ve seen a recovery in the market and an increased confidence in all stakeholders. As a result we’re accelerating on this more now, plans remain to get the token launched and in your hands this year. TBC on dates. 

🦎  **Market:** as you will have noticed over the past month, most of the market has moved its attention to memecoins. Which has sucked liquidity from the NFT market, NFT volumes across the market have been extremely low as a result. This is always a temporary cycle and volume will flow back to NFTs. Internally we’re exploring “dynamic royalties” that, as a high level explanation, would increase and decrease royalty % based on market conditions - allowing us to incentivise volume in low markets. 

I will aim to join an informal voice chat with holders in Discord at some time in the next few days. No alpha being leaked. But similar to that hat eating, it will be a chance to catch up and answer various questions. 

I understand there are rising anxieties and empathise fully but I assure you it will be worth the wait and we’re nearing the launch of the first roadmap item.

@everyone We are very excited to reveal what we’ve been working on. Everything on the web3 roadmap we’re rolling out follows roughly the same principles, and in the case of the next item, it’s full of gamification, game theory and web3 value at the end of it! 

Given we are nearing launch of this next roadmap item, we are going to post-pone the community town hall until then so we have lots to dig into and talk about. 

We’ll also be able to give some high-level updates on the mainstream verticals, which are shaping up nicely.

Transparency is something I’m trying to push this year as some of you have noticed. Talking more freely about wins, failures and strategy. Heres a short story about one:

The Creepz collection is now up on Blur! Which we’re extremely happy about 🚀 

There is a final issue we’re trying to fix with the Blur team: currently, if you are soft staked and list on Blur the NFT can’t be bought/ sold. As innocent as this sounds, it creates multiple potentially major issues that can screw up floor or purchase incentives. However it is simple to fix and requires minimal work from Blur, we just need to be given access to their API so our devs can manage it.

All issues have been solved with Opensea.

Finally, an update on the marketplace issues:

- Blur is still being problematic to get into action. After many creative routes to get the team to respond, we have finally been put into a telegram chat with the CEO - so we think we're just a step away.
- Opensea have responded and are now actively working through issues to resolve them.

To clarify what got us to this point; during the migration, both Opensea and Blur agreed to do various activities to ensure a smooth transition. Both teams completed half the tasks but have been hard to pin down to finish the job which has been very frustrating for our engineering team. We will keep you updated with regular progress.

This is a momentary technical blip, but we will come back with a bang and continue the year to the top of the rankings  🚀

There is a problem with the Creepz collection on Blur that we believe should be fixed before we continue with the campaign. Our hands are tied on the solution, as the Blur team have to fix it on their side. 

For transparency, we were meant to go live with the next announcement on Friday but waited until today to see if it would be fixed - and it has yet to, given it's the weekend.

The Creepz collection is getting an exciting genetic upgrade @ **6pm GMT on Thursday 2nd March** - technically, we’re migrating the collection to a new collection. 

This brings a whole world of advantages to you as a holder and us as a brand, that are technically not possible in the current contract.

1. **Soft-Staking:** which cleans up all collection data (e.g holder count) on all trading data sites and marketplaces
2. **Upgradability:** this allows us to constantly build new features for the Creepz that we’re currently restricted from, whether that’s new IP driven experiences or gamified fun
3. **Cross-Chain:** In an attempt to future proof, build maximum distribution and allow for seamless exchange to different experiences, the Creepz will not just be tied to ethereum but any chain
4. **Genetic Cards:** a second NFT “window” on marketplaces like Opensea that will show IP identity (names + more), collector badges/ stats (tba) and token stats (wait what?!). Bringing a whole new dynamic to collecting Creepz
5. **Royalties:** we will be enforcing royalties on Creepz NFT, supporting out continued investments of $10s of millions into building the next mainstream megabrand

We are working with key industry partners on this migration, including Opensea and Blur, to ensure a smooth transition. Before the migration, we recommend users remove any outstanding bids on marketplaces & delist any listed Creepz.

At the moment of migration, **all holders will be able to exchange their legacy Creepz NFT for the upgraded NFT on overlord.xyz/exchange**. This is the only method of exchange, thereby ensuring any Legacy Creepz traded post this event can always be exchanged for an Upgraded Creepz.

As we move into our next stage of growth we plan to build more publicly. There is a lot that happens behind the scenes but you only get to see the tip of the iceberg. 

Community is our rock so we want to find continued ways to support your interaction with the brand. We have trialled a monthly BLE call which has been a great success. It’s a space where we can talk openly and frankly about strategy and our path forward. We want to bring a similar format to all holders. 

The first one will be held on **Thursday 16th Feb at 12pm ET**. And then held monthly after that. We look forward to talking then.

What a week! I sincerely hope none of the Creepz have been affected by the FTX collapse. It’s a terrible thing to have happened.

As a word of transparent assurance, as a company we have not been affected by it all - and have taken extra precautions in the event there are any knock on effects, to keep the health of the company completely water tight.

Our policy has always been that we build -> we don’t take market bets with capital. A value that has worked well for us, in a world when other projects have been negatively impacted by keeping funds in crypto. So for us, it’s building the exciting future for Overlord as usual.

It’s also important to note, that we’re in a grizzly bear market. Scary events will happen around us, as they did in 2000 with the dot com bubble or in 2008. But the way we see it, is that it’s a massive opportunity to take advantage of (for many reasons I won’t explain here). 

Every time these periods happen, some of the biggest brands are built. The companies that are smart, risk adjusted and strategically build through the chaos end up accelerating and building a big competitive edge…

…as holders and a team, we’re all in this together. And so we’re excited to continue on that rocketship with you all 🫡

We are having many meetings with the most significant funds in the world, and it is completely humbling to see our ambitious plans not only be validated by most of them but also drive genuine excitement. This is all to give us the resources to accelerate building the vision we all share & explode Overlord into the massive brand we all want it to be.

**Ubuntu.**

As someone born and raised in the UK, I’ve had little exposure to Basketball. Yet I’m totally captured by the stories that come from the sport. 

If you go back to my early discord posts, I’ve often said that web3 is a a team sport. And as an ex-athlete I like to take philosophies from sport and apply them to tech.  


There is a beautiful story from the 2008 Boston Celtics. Once a legendary team, they had become an ongoing disappointment. Doc Rivers came in as manager and made them win their first NBA championship in 22 years. 

They strategically traded players and brought on multiple star players. They were loud, they were impactful but that wasn't translating to the court. Old players weren't playing well together. New players weren't playing well together. They had amazing potential, but they needed to be a unified force. 

Doc Rivers instated **Ubuntu** as the core philosophy of the team. They made it their way of life. They used it as the essential fuel to win together above all else.  


**Ubuntu** comes from an old zulu saying. And it was championed by Nelson Mandela to unify the country against Aparteid. And really, it means:

**“I am, because we are”**

It’s the idea that we all win because we all contribute and work together as a symbiotic system. And uphold the positive values that we stand for, with mutual respect for each other. 

And I think this hits at the core of what web3 is about. And at the core of what the Creepz community is about. 

We have people from all backgrounds, countries, financial situations, races, genders, sexual orientations, religions and opinions.

But we all stand under a unified banner. A team. Fighting to win together. 

And here is the magical thing, we are well on our way to winning. An NFT influencer posted this analysis the other day. Ranking top NFT brands by floor price. And it shows that we are very almost in blue chip territory. Literally on the edge of being a blue chip. It’s our turn to breakout next. 

As a brand and community we are building more than most and arguably all of these blue chips. We are being 100x more ambitious. And as you’ll see, we have the execution already on the way to achieving the vision. 

We will have our time. The market will understand the importance of what’s being built here and we will break into the top of the top. If you check pinned posts in general you’ll see a quick high level bullet point strategy I posted last week.
  

But to make this happen we need **Ubuntu**. To be together. And as a small edit to what it means:

We have partnered with **Seth Green’s** TV production company, **Stoopid Buddy Stoodios** to develop **an animated series exclusively about Creepz**. They have made some of the most famous animated series of all time and we’re thrilled to work with them.

It’s 4th of July: fireworks, gratitude, celebration and so much excitement.

July is finally here, and the team is currently working extremely hard on finalising the rebrand and all the other exciting things happening alongside that.

It’s 4th of July: fireworks, gratitude, celebration and so much excitement.

July is finally here, and the team is currently working extremely hard on finalising the rebrand and all the other exciting things happening alongside that.
As the Overlord needs <@875395195636707428> and <@553289442501066752> ’s full attention to make all the alpha happen, the next founder's AMA will be after the rebrand, towards the end of this month. Then you will be able to join us in celebrating the reveal whilst we explain the importance of the new position of the brand in the space and what this means for the future of Creepz.
